Creating your wedding vendor profile when submitting to a wedding directory is a very important task. As a professional, it is important to include your services, contact information, references if applicable and other information that will help a couple get to know what your company offers.
When you first choose to create a listing, you will be asked for a title. The title should be catchy but not unprofessional. It is always important to maintain that line between catchy and unprofessional.
The next section will be a description. Use this area to discuss who your company is and what services you offer. It is also important to place any items or qualities that make your business stand out. After all, this will be in a long list of companies. The only way to make your listing truly stand out is to get an upgraded listing where the listing shows at the top highlighted.
Whether or not you have a store front, you should have a telephone number that potential clients can contact you at. If you only have an email contact, those looking for services might turn away before learning more about what services your company renders.
Always remember when filling out your vendor profile on a wedding directory to include your website address. This will be one of the first things potential clients look at. It also helps to add a picture of your company logo or special product to entice clicks.

Why Utilizing Wedding Directories Help
When you go shopping at a grocery store, most people use a checklist. In the same regard, you can use wedding directories as your checklist. Wedding directories are used for multiple purposes including gathering general information, locating wedding vendors in the local area, reading reviews as well as support online from people who are in the same process as you or have already been married. On weddwithstyle.com, we also have professionals on the board to answer questions people have.
Another great way to utilize wedding directories is to get some helpful tips on many important subjects. One of the most popular subjects is on how to save money when planning a wedding. There are many routes you can choose from cutting costs in catering, negotiating with your wedding vendor, choosing a venue and more. One of the best ways to save money, if you are allotted the time, is to do it yourself (also known as DIY). Projects that can be done by yourself are invitations, table centerpieces at a reception and more. With a little time and effort, you can be saving a ton of money.
Finally, wedding directories help ease the burden. If you need somewhere to vent or let off some steam without being judged, or if you feel like you are getting off track or not where you need to be, you can always find great information and motivation in wedding directories in the forum section. That is what the name wedding directory is modeled after- it essentially helps direct the wedding.

Why A Wedding Checklist is Important
A wedding checklist is important for a number of different reasons. The most obvious is of course the idea that you are laying everything out and making sure nothing gets left behind. Making a checklist of the things you need to do or get can help you not only get them done but not forget they exist. Being that there are so many aspects of a wedding, a wedding checklist is essential for this reason alone.
Keeping motivated on certain aspects of a wedding are a key role of the wedding checklists. As you check the list off, you become more motivated and satisfied that you are moving toward your goal. When someone sees they are making progress, it motivates them to get more done
If you are delegating parts of the wedding to a loved one, which often happens, you will want a master wedding checklist for yourself and another wedding checklist for them. Their checklist should only include items they are responsible for. In general, a wedding checklist will help you keep organized on who is doing what besides what you are working on.
One of the most important ways you can use your wedding checklist is to ensure you stay within your budget. It is easy to fall outside the budget on many separate occasions whether it is before, during or after the wedding. Having your budget on your checklist will keep you within your limits to spend on your big day.

Wedding Shower Games: Bring on the Fun!
Having a wedding shower is loads of fun- pending you have the right set-up. Keep the party going with wedding shower games that everyone will love.
For starters, try an icebreaker wedding shower game. A great one is to pin a decorative clothespin on a persons attire when you greet them at the door. Let them know they cannot say a certain word (often times the grooms name), or do a certain thing (like cross their legs). If they do, the person that catches them gets their clothespin. At the end of the night, see who has the most and give them a prize.
The purse wedding shower game is great too. Allot values things you will find in a womanís purse. For example: lipstick would be one point, pen 2 points, tissues 4 points, etc. Have each guest dump out the contents of her purse and tally up her points. The person with the most points wins!
How well does the bride know the groom? Find out by playing a wedding shower game that tests the bride to be. Prior to the wedding shower ask the groom 20-25 questions about himself. At the wedding shower ask the guests to guess which ones she will get right and then write them down. Have the bride answer the questions. The guest who guessed the closest to the actually number of right answers the bride had wins.
If you are hosting a wedding shower, take the time to get creative with the wedding shower games. Your guests will appreciate it!

Wedding Jewelry: When Is it Too Much
Looking for the perfect accessories to accent your wedding dress is often times consuming but fun. Sometimes a woman gets so entangled in accessories that she forgets the reason she is shopping for them. This then poses the question: When is it too much jewelry on your wedding day?
Wedding jewelry can be as simple or as elaborate as you want it to be. There are two easy rules to keep in your head when shopping for wedding jewelry. The first one is if your dress is elaborate, keep the jewelry simple. Conversely, if the wedding dress is simple, you can wear more detailed jewelry. Makes sense right?
The other rule to keep in mind is less is more. When it comes to wedding jewelry, this cannot be overlooked. Less is more works for many situations and not adhering to it and choosing the other option- overkill- will leave you unhappy with the result.
One of the biggest wedding jewelry mistakes a woman can have is wearing another ring. Although it may seem like an obvious statement, many women have worn other rings at their wedding. Wearing other rings takes away from the most important ring which is undoubtedly the band he puts on your finger.
Overall, it is your day and you can choose to wear whatever you want. Always be mindful of the above stated and you will find a happy balance.
