I have recently come across a lot of posts and blogs about women selling their wedding dress after the wedding. I thought you were supposed to keep it! A lot of people are actually re-couping a fair amount of money from their wedding by selling their wedding dress, renting a tux, going in half with another bride on decorations if she is using the same theme and more.
Who knew you could actually soften the blow after the wedding. Women are even putting there dresses on the market before the wedding! I wouldn't do it, but I thought I would throw it out there.
I have also heard of people selling their wedding dresses but not before they have even had their wedding. I was actually considering selling my dress AFTER the wedding. Many people use ebay.com to sell their dress. There are also sites like craigslist and other specific sites that you can use.
The only thing about selling your wedding dress is that you never get near the amount you pay for it. I am just contemplating whether or not those few extra bucks to recoup money from the wedding is worth losing out on my wedding dress that I might be able to pass onto my daughter. (although it will probably be way out of style by that time). I then think that it is just a dress that will be sitting in my closet... tough decision...
