Is a March Wedding a Good Idea? 9 Months, 4 Weeks ago

Hello Everyone,
I am trying to decide if a March wedding is a good idea or not. I know a lot of people have weddings in the summer months and into early fall. I am trying to cut some costs and heard that picking a month that is not so popular saves money across the board- like transportation, catering, etc. Does anyone have any advice on this? My main concern is that the weather might not be too favorable. We were thinking January, but that is not a good month for many people and February is out because of Valentine's Day. So, I figured March is the next best.
Has anyone on here had a wedding in March? How did it go? What were some drawbacks?
I would appreciate any feedback I can get.
Thanks!
Jessica

Jessica,
We are planning our wedding in March as well. I guess it would depend how you are having your wedding. Are you doing an outside wedding? If so, it would then depend what state you are in. We live in Florida so march is kind of a rainy month for us. We are still doing an outside wedding, but we have things in place in case it rains.
Really, any month is fine to do a wedding in- and yes, it does save money (we are saving a ton). You just need to be aware of your surroundings and possible pitfalls.
Best of Luck!
